Save money while you make every day purchases! When you enroll in our SAVE AS YOU SPEND service, we round up the amount of any point of sale debit card purchase made by you or a joint owner of your checking account to the next whole dollar amount, and transfer the amount in excess of the purchase price from your checking account to your savings account.
*Annual Percent Yield (APY) is accurate as of (8/29/22). This current rate of 18.86% APY is good for an introductory period of 6 months from the date the account is opened. After the introductory period, the rate will then change to .50% APY. A minimum of $.01 is needed to obtain the APY. Rates are subject to change without notice and may change after the account is opened. No deposits, other than the transferred rounded up portion are allowed to be made into the account. Our Certificates of Deposit, or CD’s, are a type of savings account with a fixed rate and term. CD’s pay higher interest rates than Savings or Money Market Accounts and are ideal if you’d like a higher rate of return on money you don’t have an immediate need for.
High Country Bank offers Certificates of Deposit ranging from 6 months to 5 years. All certificates have a $500.00 minimum balance requirement to open the account and obtain the Annual Percentage Yield.

Traditional IRA: Allows qualified individuals to direct pretax income, up to specific annual limits, toward investments that can grow tax-deferred. Contributions may be tax-deductible depending on the taxpayer’s income, tax-filing status and other factors.
Roth IRA: Similar to the Traditional IRA, but contributions are not tax-deductible and qualified distributions are tax free.
